“I believe love has a bright and dark side. And the dark side of love can lead us down destructive alleys. (…) Love is simply an energy that hits you, and it is this force that this film is about.” (Fatih Akin about his film)

In their live adaptation of Head On SPOOKY BUNCH condense the impossible love story into a powerful parable about freedom, self-determination and independence. They don’t simply re-tell the story on stage, they rather re-invent it via theatrical means. Their production is a stage road movie through a deserted “soul-scape” of sweltering heat, where self knowledge and self-destruction are but two sides of the same coin.

If I do it, I might regret / if I don’t I might as well.
